Hope Tour 2012: Amelia Island and a Back-Up Plan

Magnificent Hope arrived, on schedule, on Amelia Island, Florida, and was welcomed with smiles and loving hearts at the home of Annie Keys. Annie is the author of the devotion book, Life Is Like Buffalo Breath, to be released as an Amazon Kindle book June 2012 and is an enthusiastic supporter of Magnificent Hope's virtual summer tour.

After Hope enjoyed a boat ride tour of the waterway on Friday, an incredible weekend was planned!  Saturday, Hope and Annie's daughter, Sherri, participated in the YMCA's 5k shrimp festival run.  Proceeds of the run are used to put Christian principles into practice through "programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all." A visit to downtown Fernandina during Shrimp Festival where a bookstore was hosting a book signing by a local author was planned for Saturday. Hope had planned to drop in and chat.

Unfortunately, a change of plans was made when Mrs. Annie's husband became ill and our plans to enjoy the festival were cancelled.  Mr. Dan is scheduled for a heart procedure next week.  So often, in life, we have great and glorious plans when unexpected trials pop up simply because sometimes, life has hard places. God is faithful and gives us strength to stand strong during the storms.

When these times happen, we don't pout or get angry; we put on our servant aprons and minister as opportunity avails.  Magnificent Hope sat quietly with Mr. Dan, enjoying his company and listening to him tell her of how Jesus has always provided and given strength. In spite of the change in physical plans, Hope was able to continue her most important plan; to bring magnificent hope through Jesus' love and service to each other.

With hugs and friendship forever hugs, Hope began her journey to the next destination on the Magnificent Hope Virtual Tour.

Annie Keys is a Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She is a participant and award-winner on the international group, Faithwriters, and loves to write! For 20 years, she has worked with children, often writing her own materials, and as a Pastor’s secretary. One of Annie's powerful testimonies is included in Love Letters from the Heart, published by Pix-N-Pens in February 2012. Her daily devotions can be found at www.rubberontheroad.org, and be sure to watch for Life is Like Buffalo Breath in June!

[NOTE: The Write Integrity Press and Pix-N-Pens family offer our fervent prayers on behalf of Dan, Annie, and their entire family. May God's presence surround them and strengthen them as they go through this trying time. Thank you for welcoming Magnificent Hope with such open arms. We love you.]
