Hope for the Hopeless - Call for Submissions

Welcome back and Happy New Year!

During the holidays, I had an unusual experience that changed me. Normally, I'm a homebody, but during December, I was out with the masses, meeting and greeting people face-to-face, hours at a time. Looking into all of those precious faces, I noticed something alarming - too many of the faces looking back at me seemed to have no hope. In hundreds of eyes, I saw pain, sorrow, tears, shame - hopelessness.

Admittedly, 2011 was a hard year for many of us, myself included. But even in the midst of all the trials, I never lost my Hope, because I know Who my Hope really is, and the true source of that deep abiding ever-flowing Hope.

I know I'm not the only one who knows that Hope, and I want to do something about it.

Write Integrity Press and Pix-N-Pens Publishing are seeking submissions for an entire line of books with a common theme - HOPE. If you have a book manuscript completed, or almost ready, that offers HOPE to a hopeless world, we want to hear from you. Fiction and nonfiction are welcome and encouraged - we're hoping to offer a good variety because we realize that not everyone can be reached in the same way.

It's time to let our lights shine. We should "Always be ready to answer everyone who asks you to explain about the hope you have" (1 Peter 3:15 NCV). Come, let us help you share your own message of hope to this hopeless world. Your words may make all the difference to someone.

Please follow our regular guidelines to submit your manuscript. Be sure to put HOPE for the Hopeless: Submission in the Subject line to route you in the right direction.

In this call for submissions, I don't see a deadline or a suggested word length for the submission. Is it the same guidelines as the life lessons with $25 pay and a book?

Could someone please post those details? Thanks!

Hi, Christine. The HOPE Series is actually a series of individual books - fiction or nonfiction - rather than anthologies.

There are no deadlines for the books - when we receive a proposal we'll determine whether it would work for our HOPE series, and if so, will be designated as such upon publication.

Word count guidelines are:

40,000-80,000 for nonfiction
50,000-100,000 fiction

These are estimates on word count - they aren't set in stone, but we'd prefer to come close.

You'll find formatting and submission guidelines under the Submissions tab.

Thanks for checking. Hope to see a proposal from you.
